SpeakerCraft – Outdoor Elements
When considering exterior speakers you’ll want something built well enough to survive the outdoors but will still give you the performance to make it enjoyable. Designing speakers for the outdoors is a challenge. There’s the obvious practicalities of the outdoors plus little or nothing to work with acoustically. So getting good sound dispersion and achieving detail, bass, warmth and clarity becomes all the more difficult. Hence we look to the masters of architectural speakers, SpeakerCraft. These are the people who excel at speaker design where specialised engineering is required.
Outdoor living is intrinsic to the New Zealand lifestyle. These are times when we’re relaxing or having fun with friends and family. So when planning your home music system don’t forget your outdoor living areas. The sound from a good quality Hi-fi will drift around the house but for specific areas like this it’s nice to have more control. Separate outdoor speakers mean you can have your music where you want it and volume how you want it. Thus adding a simple but worthwhile enhancement to your home life.
Recently SpeakerCraft produced their new range, aptly named Outdoor Elements. This replaced their acclaimed WeatherCraft range known for their excellent, full sound and robustness. When we first heard Outdoor Elements we could appreciate the progression made. This new range takes you much closer to a high end audio sound. They have a sweetness not previously achieved and an overall sound quality that really is quite stunning for this type of speaker, no matter what type of music. Another plus is the modern, elegant styling in a choice of black or white finish and they all come with strong and versatile mounting brackets. Overall, Outdoor Elements are very impressive speakers for their price.
The Outdoor Elements series takes in eight different models so there is one to suit your particular application. The speakers on offer differ in size and make up so you can have the appropriate speaker for your requirements. There are also single ‘dual tweeter’ speakers where your placement can only fit one.
