With Triad speakers you can end your search for a custom speaker that is as good as an audiophile speaker. Choose to have a mid to high end audio speaker that is built into your wall or ceiling, one that blends into your environment. Triad’s slide brackets are designed so they can be placed either in new buildings or retrofitted. The grills can be painted to match your decor.

Triad made in America since 1982 uses manufacturing principles that maintain value for money. So instead of having a production line guessing customer requirements Triad build to order. They are therefore open to custom work and can advise on specific requirements. That said their range of speakers is so well thought out and designed great sound can be achieved within any room shape and size. Whether it be for music, home theatre or both. Hence a number of models are available in New Zealand at any given time.

The Triad family

The philosophy is quite simple. Four versions of the same speaker for different placement options without compromising performance; InCeiling, InWall, OnWall, InRoom.

Bronze, silver, gold and platinum are categories defining increasing size and performance.

Triads are ideal for music distribution around the home. Often formal lounges have fireplaces and bookshelves making it difficult to place audiophile speakers; living rooms are used frequently so that they are no less important for sound quality. Studys are often where discerning listening occurs but again space is usually limited. A versatile option offering excellent value is the InWall Gold/4 Omni SE. The paintable ‘Acoustimeash’ grill is very tidy looking and it is easy to fit yet performs beautifully in either primary or background listening situations in average sized rooms. Suitable as home theatre theatre fronts.

Alternatively the InCeiling Silver/8 Omni SE is an good value, good performing ceiling option. Within the MDF cabinet the speaker is cunningly set at a 45 degree angle, much better than can be achieved by pivoting speakers, to direct the sound. Shaped foam within the cabinet solves sound reflection issues. It’s hard to imagine in–ceiling speakers that sound as good as the Triads do. Suitable for full range, near invisible listening or configured as fronts for home theatre.

Other home theatre solutions include LCRs, dipole rear speakers designed for an enveloping sound and powered subs. Useful for some will be the new 3 channel LCR model ie three home theatre fronts in one cabinet. The broad range in the MDF cabinets starts at around NZ$ 800 through to NZ$ 12,000 each, giving you an idea of the high quality level of these speakers.
