How It Works

A single Grafik Eye can control 2 to 6 zones or circuits of lights – this can be expanded upon where required. Scenes are set by dimming circuits of light to their chosen level and choosing a fade time ie how long it takes the lights to go up or down to the chosen light level. The Grafik Eye remembers this as a set scene. Then with the push of one button you recall a particular scene. It’s not difficult and you can change it at any time. You can also turn all lights off with one button. The Grafik Eye can communicate with other light switches or keypads so you can operate it from different positions in the room – or by remote control. Traditional dimmers are known to buzz and cause electrical interference. Grafik Eye is protected from this – an important point in today’s homes.

Choose Your Style

With Lutron you have a choice of finish in Grafik Eyes and an array of keypads that work with them. If you prefer the Grafik Eye can be hidden but operated from your choise of keypad. So you can enjoy the look of what you have on your walls. Your Grafik Eyes and keypads can be engraved so you can name your scenes and anyone can use them. This example is a SeeTouch keypad which come in black or white with an array of optional faceplates. The number of buttons required can be choosen as well as the option of remote control. The engraving glows so it can seen in the dark.

Lutron Dimmers

The Maestro stand–alone dimmer is a joy to use. Its a tap on, tap off dimmer that you can set to your chosen light level but the toggle buttons to the side allow full up or down adjustment. Maestros come in either black or white with a large choice of faceplate options.

Save Power

Dimming significantly saves power – the electricity saved at a 50% light level is 40%. At 75% light level 20% electricity is saved. Interestingly however, the light you perceive is more than the light level – for instance at 50% the light perceived is 71%. Bulb life is also extended – at 75% light level bulbs last 4 times longer; at 50% light level bulbs last 20 times longer. You can also turn several lights off with one button so none are forgotten.
