Beautifully made the drivers have no grilles – the white has 'silver mist' cones and the black, well, black cones. Why Should You Choose Monitor Audio from Totally Wired?
British company Monitor Audio have been innovators in speaker design for over 30 years and are going from strength to strength. There is a very straight forward reason why more and more people like you are choosing speakers from the Monitor Audio house. Quite simply they set very high standards yet remain realistically priced. The finish is always immaculate – and with each model you have a choice of finish; their proprietary, ever evolving designs and rigorous testing deliver consistently high quality sound. Even the packaging makes you feel like you’ve bought a quality product.
Monitor Audio are the world’s foremost experts in metal dome driver technology – something they have been consistently refining despite the difficulty of working with metal, which is why many others opt for paper or plastic. There is no denying Monitor Audio’s success and the performance of their speakers. Years of research and testing led Monitor Audio to their patented Gold Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium (C–CAM) metal dome tweeters. The drivers for each of the speaker models are individually specified. The Metal Matrix Polymer divers used in the Radius speakers was originally developed by Monitor Audio in 2003. These have now been replaced by new C-CAM® (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium) bass drivers which takes the bass further as well as improving accuracy. Here belies the magic behind the Radius speakers because the Radius range benefits from the use of this technology which is also found in Monitor Audio’s top of the range Platinum speakers.
